In the 1990’s the Goebel Company produced a Special series of large M.I. HUMMEL figurines called the CENTURY Collection to celebrate the last 10 years of the 20th century. Each was produced for one year only in the 20th Century. Love’s Bounty was the 1996 edition in the collection. The year 1996 is also the 125th birthday of the Goebel company that produces M.I. Hummel products.
It is a beautiful, large figurine standing 7” high, 8” long, and 6” in depth, standing in its included wooden base with brass title plaque, showing the years 1871 and 1996 . It contains a blue decal circular inscription reading: “M.I. HUMMEL CENTURY COLLECTION 1996 XX” along with the name “Love’s Bounty” and trademark. The figurine depicts 2 adorable young children pulling a wagon full of colorfully wrapped gifts and flowers. The girl is carring a large flowering plant, as is the boy, but his flowers have a sign with “125” engraved in it. He is also carrying a greeting card with a wax heart shaped seal on it. The figurine was retired in 1996. The original issue price was $1200.
